Policies

At the Dublin Dental University Hospital we strive to continuously improve the services we provide. To ensure we keep improving we have developed several detailed strategies and policies.

Patient Policies

Patient Charter.

The Hospital’s patient charter sets out what the patient can expect when visiting the hospital. A copy of the patients’ charter is available in patient leaflets and is placed on the walls around the hospital.

Complaints Policy.

The Hospital Complaints Policy set outs the Hospital’s commitment to effective management of patient’s complaints and concerns. The policy aims to ensure optimum complaints management in line with a patient-focused culture that is consistent with the hospital’s mission, vision and values. Link here

Smoke Free Policy.

There is a no smoking policy within the Dublin Dental University Hospital. The policy has been developed to protect patients, visitors, employees and students from exposure to Environmental Tobacco Smoke, to ensure compliance with legal obligations and to ensure a safe working environment.

Information Governance Policies

Freedom of Information. The Freedom of Information Act (FOI) was applied to the Dublin Dental University Hospital in October 1999, FOI gives you three legal rights:

  • The right to access both personal and non-personal records
  • The right to have personal information held on them corrected or updated where the information is incomplete, incorrect, or misleading
  • The right to seek reasons for decisions that affect them. Create link

Data Protection. The Dublin Dental University Hospital has a legal obligation to comply with all appropriate legislation in respect of Data, Information and IT security.
