Human Resources

The HR Department within the Dublin Dental University Hospital is made up of Margaret Woodlock, HR Manager, Cheryl Judge, HR Officer and Ann-Marie Shields, HR Administrator.  As a Human Resource Department, it is our aim to support and provide best practice structures and systems which allow an innovative approach which results in the un-tapping of staff’s potential to both the benefit of the individual and the organisation.  We wish to build relationships through partnership, embrace diversity and provide leadership in people management.  We promote a culture of fairness and respect.

The main function of the department is to recruit and retain high calibre staff, to provide an environment which encourages development and motivation of staff, and to ensure that we are all aware of our contribution to the provision of excellence in patient care and student education.
We strive to contribute through providing a leading edge human resource service to all by being transparent in our dealings, progressive in our policies, and courteous and fair when dealing with everyone in regard to queries whether they are personal or organisational in nature.  It is at our core that we maintain the individuals integrity at all times.

Margaret Woodlock

HR Manager

Margaret joined the Dublin Dental University Hospital as the HR Manager in Novemeber 2002. She holds an MA from Keele Univeristy and DIPHR awarded by the NCI. With 25 years HR experience Margaret has worked in a number of different private industries before joining the Dublin Dental University Hospital. Since joining the Hospital she has worked on a number of high priority projects as well as managing the overall activities of the department.

Cheryl Judge

HR Officer

Cheryl has a BSc in Human Resource Management from Dublin Institute of Technology. She was awarded the gold medal for achieving first place on the course. Cheryl also has a CIPD graduate membership. Cheryl joined the Dublin Dental University Hospital in 2006 as Human Resources Administrator and became the HR Officer in January 2009.

Ann-Marie Shields

HR Administrator

Ann-Marie has a BBs in Business Management and Human Resources from Dundalk Institute of Technology. Her background involves Administration and Recruitment before joining the Dublin Dental University Hospital. Ann-Marie joined the Dublin Dental University Hospital in February 2008.
