Local Infiltration and Block Anaesthesia Course
The Dublin Dental University Hospital will conduct a ‘Local Infiltration and Block Anaesthesia’ course on Tuesday,
17 February 2026.
The course is aimed at current Trinity College Dublin dental hygiene students and dental hygienists who have
not completed this module. Therefore, please note that this is not a refresher course.
You must submit the following with your application:
- Proof of current Dental Council of Ireland registration
- Current CPR certificate
- Have an agreement from at least one dentist who will supervise your portfolio of experience (this must be completed within six months of taking the training course)
- Supervising Dentist Form - download below
- Consent form for peer work- download below
The above must be submitted at the time of your application.
The course costs €395. The fee includes all of the course literature, and it should be paid online.

There will be a one-hour written examination scheduled after the lectures.
Places are limited for this course. The deadline for applications is 16 January 2026, to allow time for the
required reading and exam preparation.
10 CPD points will be awarded on successful completion of the course.
