Clinical Doctorate in Dental Surgery 2026

Dublin Dental University Hospital will be accepting applications for the September 2026 intake to the Clinical Doctorate in Dental Surgery (D.Ch.Dent) full-time (3-year) and part-time (5-year) programmes until 30^th November 2025 (inclusive). Applications for these programmes should be made online at https://www.tcd.ie/courses/postgraduate/courses/dental-surgery-dchdent/

Strands accepting applications for the three-year, full-time programme are as follows:

1. Prosthodontics
2. Orthodontics
3. Dental Public Health

In addition, the below strand is accepting applications from students who wish to enrol in a five-year, part-time programme:

1. Dental Public Health

Note that the Orthodontics programme will be accepting up to three students – two based between Dublin Dental University Hospital and other Dublin-based Orthodontic Units, and one based between Merlin Park University Hospital, Galway and Dublin Dental University Hospital. Applicants will be asked to indicate their preference at interview stage, and may apply for one or both locations.
