Dental students Kate O’Neill, Chris Coakley, Emma Mulville, Annie Hughes, and David Hendrick who presented their project 'Appraisal of the Dental School Learning Environment --Recent Graduates' Reflections' at the Association for Dental Education in Europe meeting in Oslo.

On 28 August 2018 in Trinity College, Dr Gerry Cleary was presented with the Dean of Health Science Award for Outstanding Teaching in Professional Practice by Prof. Mary McCarron.

Dr Jeff O'Sullivan, Director of Research, Prof Blanaid Daly and Dr Koula Asimakopoulou from King's College London.  Dr. Asimakopoulou recently visited the DDUH and presented a seminar ‘Behaviour Change techniques to support your patients to improve their oral health’.

The School of Dental Science runs a Day Programme each year for Transition Year students, taking a maximum of 50 students for the programme.

Training in Cancer Therapeutics (TRACT) scholars participated in the recent research night in TCD where they presented aspects of their work on oral and oesophageal cancer to the general public.

Students and post-docs from the Dental Hospital took part in the research night in TCD on Friday September 28th. They presented an interactive event called “Healthy mouth, healthy body?” which allowed members of the public to examine their oral microbiome under the microscope and learn how it affects their health. The event was held in Front Square and attracted hundreds of members of the public for a variety of interactive and informative events. Prof. Moran’s research group was represented by Dr Peter Flanagan and PhD students Jessica Fletcher and Ajith Selvaraj.
