Maeve Conrick is Professor Emeritus and former Principal of the College of Arts and Humanities, UCD. Educated in Ireland, Switzerland and France, she holds a doctorate from Aix-Marseille Universite and a higher doctorate on published work, DLitt, awarded by the NUI. Career distinctions include an appointment as Specialist Advisor to a UK House of Commons Committee and the Governor General (Canada) International Award for Canadian Studies for outstanding contribution to scholarship.
Previous roles include a term as Deputy Chair of the HEA. Currently she is a member of the Press Council of Ireland, Board of National Library of Ireland, and an International Member of UK REF2021.
